We Want You to Ask Questions

Seriously. Our team of vitamin experts and scientists has answers.

Do I need Calcium or Iron in my multivitamin?

In the scientific community, there is debate on the ideal and safe amount of Calcium with risks being linked to over-supplementation. We suggest checking with your physician to determine your own needs. Rather than including Calcium in Essential for Women 50+, we included “helper nutrients,” like Vitamin D3, Vitamin K2, Magnesium, and Boron, to support bone health and complement the Calcium you’re already getting from your diet. As for Iron, the Recommended Daily Allowance is 8 mg daily. Almost all women over 50 reach this daily value through diet alone, so you won’t find it in Essential for Women 50+.*

Does Essential for Women 50+ treat menopause symptoms?

No. Essential for Women 50+ is not intended to treat menopausal symptoms. However, it is designed to help support the nutrient requirements of women post-menopause.*

What kind of testing do you do?

We go above and beyond, and when we say “transparency,” we mean it. Each batch of our multivitamins is tested for identity, purity, strength, and composition, so we can be sure that what’s on the label is what’s in the capsules. We also use a third party lab to test for heavy metals, microbes, allergens, and other contaminants, ensuring they are below levels deemed safe by the FDA’s current Good Manufacturing Practices.

How does my subscription work? How can I update my preferences every month?

No more trips to the store. Ritual is conveniently delivered to you every month. We’ll send you an email each month, a few days before we charge you and ship your next bottle. You’re free to rush or delay an order, or cancel your subscription at any time, right from your account page. You’re in control.

Why is Essential for Women 50+ a great value?

For decades, many mainstream multivitamins have been formulated for low cost and long shelf life. At Ritual, we put quality and efficacy above all. We use obsessively-researched nutrients and clean alternatives to traditional fillers and preservatives. And we ship our product quickly after it’s produced. Our ingredients come at a premium—purchased separately, they would cost $200/month. The Omega-3s alone would set you back $25. But our scale, our capsule technology, and our direct-to-consumer model allow us to deliver nutrients your body needs in a single bottle for $35/month, or about $1/day.

How long will it take to start seeing results?

Supporting your bone, heart, and brain health are important for the long term. While many people feel a difference, some don’t, and that’s okay. It’s what’s happening inside that counts. The water-soluble nutrients (like Magnesium, Folate, B12, and Boron) get to work to help support your cells, blood, and more, while fat-soluble nutrients (like Omega-3 DHA, Vitamins D3, K2, and E) may take longer. All in all, it can take 3-4 months for your body to reach a new nutrient equilibrium.*

If I'm over 50 but not post-menopausal, can I still take Essential for Women 50+?

Essential for Women 50+ doesn’t contain Iron, so if you’re not post-menopause, Essential for Women 18+ should have your needs covered. That said, we’d suggest checking in with your physician first.*
