Our Asks
- A clear definition for how brands use the term “clinically studied.”
- Health-protective limits for heavy metals in supplements and protein powder while keeping vulnerable populations, such as pregnant women and children, in mind.
- Sustained funding for the FDA, NIH and NSF, as research from these institutions is vital for understanding the safety and efficacy of dietary supplements and ingredients.

In 2025, Ritual helped pass a bill in California, to require prenatal vitamins manufacturers to test for heavy metals and disclose those results publicly.
We’ve continued to ask Congress to pass mandatory Paid Family Leave. In case you missed it, the US is one of the only developed nations that does not offer this crucial support to birthing people. We at Ritual believe this is inhumane and embarrassing.
