The Informed Sport mark signifies that Essential Protein meets the high quality standards of even the world’s most elite athletes. Essential Protein has undergone a rigorous screening for over 250 banned substances in sport and meets the strictest standards for quality control in manufacturing. Additionally, our protein is tested for identity, purity, strength, and composition, so we can be sure that what’s on the label is what’s in the product. We also complete third-party testing to help ensure our products are compliant with regulations and guidelines for heavy metals, microbes and major allergens and to help assure the quality and safety of our products.

In order for a product to be considered in the “organic” category, it must contain at least 95% organic ingredients and the remaining 5% must be either organically produced (unless commercially unavailable) or allowed based on the national list. Essential Protein is not organic because our novel formulation contains some ingredients that are not on the national list, like L-Methionine to provide a complete amino acid profile. We believe these ingredients are worth it.

We recommend taking both a Ritual multivitamin and protein together—in fact our protein was formulated with our multivitamins in mind. The recommended daily value for Choline is 550 mg. Considering how much people get from diet, our multivitamins, and our protein, the total Choline is still far below the tolerable upper level of 3500 mg.
