Frequent Questions

Frequent Questions

Essential for Teens (Hers) contains Iron, while Essential for Teens (His) does not. That’s because teen girls have higher Iron requirements and larger intake gaps than teen boys. Essential for Teens (Hers) also contains slightly more Folate than Essential for Teens (His).*

We go above and beyond, and when we say transparency, we mean it. Each batch of our multivitamins is tested for identity, purity, strength, and composition, so we can be sure that what’s on the label is what’s in the capsules. We also use a third party lab to test each batch for heavy metals, microbes, allergens, and other contaminants, helping to ensure our products are compliant within current guidelines and regulations.

No confusing vitamin aisles or forgetting refills. Ritual is conveniently delivered to you every month. We’ll send you an email each month, a few days before we charge you and ship your next bottle. You’re free to rush or delay an order, or cancel your subscription at any time, right from your account page. You’re in control.

We use science-backed nutrients and clean alternatives to traditional preservatives. And we ship our product quickly after it’s produced. Our ingredients come at a premium, but our scale, capsule technology, and direct-to-consumer model allow us to deliver nutrients your body needs in a single bottle for $30/month, or about $1/day.

While many people feel a difference, some don’t—and that’s okay. It’s what’s happening inside that counts. The water-soluble nutrients (like Magnesium, Zinc, Folate, and Vitamin B12) get to work to help support your cells, blood, and more, while fat-soluble nutrients (like Omega-3 DHA, Vitamins A, D3, K2, and E) may take longer.

While specific nutrient recommendations can vary depending on genetically-assigned sex, life stage, and other factors, many of us actually have nutrient gaps in common. So no matter their assigned sex at birth, both Essential for Teens multivitamins are formulated to help fill nutrient gaps in teens’ diets.
That said, there are also some key differences between our formulae, with the purpose of addressing common nutrient gaps that are specific to different sexes. For example, you’ll find Iron in Essential for Teens (Hers) but you won’t find it in Essential for Teens (His). That’s because teen girls have higher Iron requirements and larger intake gaps than teen boys.
Still, there may be some intricacies when it comes to choosing a multivitamin that best suits your teens’ nutrient needs. If they’re not sure which of our formulae is a good match, we recommend having a conversation with their physician.*

My daughter takes these without complaining

13/10/2021

My teenage daughter takes these without complaint, which has been the case with other multivitamins. They are full of good quality ingredients and support her active lifestyle at this stage. The minty flavor is very mild.

Yes, I'd tell a friend to take this product.

A vitamin my daughter will actually take

01/07/2021

My daughter (14) hates taking vitamins. We have gone through dozens trying to find one she will take. She loves these and I have zero issue getting her to take them daily. I like knowing she is getting the essentials that her steady diet of goldfish and candy don’t give her.

Yes, I'd tell a friend to take this product.
