We Want You to Ask Questions

Seriously. Our team of nutrition experts and scientists has answers.

More than 97% of women aged 19-50 are not getting enough Vitamin D from their diet. That’s why we include 50 mcg of vegan-certified Vitamin D3 in Essential Prenatal to help support normal immune function.*
You need to support your own health as your nutrient needs change when pregnancy becomes a possibility—and later, a reality. Once pregnant, you’re growing a baby and need more nutrients to support its development. Taking a prenatal can help with supporting neural tube development and a healthy birth weight.* In a nutshell, the right nutrients help build a healthy foundation for years to come.
Essential Prenatal includes 12 nutrients you need to support a healthy pregnancy, in their cleanest and most absorbable forms. No more, no less. Our ingredient forms (and our formulation) are unique: we include Omega-3s from algae rich in DHA and nature-identical Choline, which work together to support brain and cognition development.* We use the first vegan-certified vitamin D3 from wild-harvested lichen, gentle chelated Iron, and methylated Folate. And we keep it all simple: just two citrus-scented, delayed-release capsules designed to be easy on your stomach. And Essential Prenatal is delivered right to your door for just $35/month.
Research shows that it takes time to reach optimal nutrient levels for conception, and taking a prenatal vitamin at least three months before conception is ideal. However, if you’re even thinking about trying or you’re not not trying, it’s probably a good time to start a prenatal. The first 28 days of pregnancy are important in your baby’s neural development, so there’s really no such thing as “too soon” to start.
Our prenatal multivitamin may be eligible for reimbursement with many flexible spending accounts (FSA), health savings accounts (HSA), and health reimbursement accounts (HRA). Check with your provider to confirm your plan's specific requirements for reimbursement. While we do not accept FSA/HSA/HRA prepaid cards in checkout, you can file for reimbursement by submitting a receipt of your monthly subscription to your provider. You can view your receipt by going to Account > View Box Details > View Box History > View Receipt. Save the receipt by clicking Download Receipt PDF.
When we say “total transparency,” we mean it. Each batch of our vitamins is tested for identity, purity, strength, and composition, so we can be sure that what’s on the label is what’s in the capsules. We also use a third party lab to test each batch, twice, for heavy metals, microbes, allergens, and other contaminants, ensuring they are below levels deemed safe by the FDA’s current Good Manufacturing Practices.
Essential Prenatal is formulated specifically for the unique nutritional demands of pre-pregnancy and pregnancy. In addition to the nine essential nutrients in Essential for Women, Essential Prenatal includes pregnancy-supporting Biotin, Choline and Iodine*.
It’s your Ritual: we’ll send you an email each month, a few days before we charge you and ship your next bottle. You’re free to rush or delay an order, or cancel your subscription, at any time, right from your account page. You’re in control.
We have gone to great lengths to select ingredients that help to support our bodies. We also select materials that are better for the planet, too. For packaging that meant finding new use for old matter. For example, mailers are made from recovered newsprint and plant fibers, and bottles made from 100% recycled content. Sharing these choices with you is at the core of our mission; It’s why we created the first visible supply-chain of its kind. This is just the beginning of a more traceable future—and we’re committed to keeping you in the loop with every step forward.

Keeping It Real

LOVE the vitamins, not the after taste...

I loved my OG Ritual vitamins with the peppermint EO tablet and I'm thinking about having a baby, so I switched to the Ritual Prenatal and it has the lemon tablet... unfortunately I'm not a fan of the lemon. I would love he prenatal with the peppermi…

The best!

2021-10-17

I wanted a prenatal that I knew had good, clean ingredients. I have been able to take these during my whole pregnancy with no issues. Some pills made me nauseous because of the smell/taste, but the lemon scent makes these easy & nice….even with pregnancy nausea. I love that these are always mailed to me, no forgetting or running out!

Yes, I'd tell a friend to take these vitamins.

Great for those who get nauseous easily

2021-10-14

I had been struggling to take my prenatals consistently, due to the smell/taste of other prenatals often triggering nausea (even before being pregnant). I had tried other brands that were supposed to be good for staving off nausea, but even the gummi…

I recommend to every one!

2021-09-29

I started Ritual Prenatals when we started our TTC journey, and absolutely love them. Through out the first trimester these vitamins have remained easy to take, and the lemon scent/flavor definitely help! So many women on the forums complain about taste and size of their prenatals, and I always recommend Ritual to them! Simply amazing!

Yes, I'd tell a friend to take these vitamins.

Good - but has something changed?

2021-09-24

I’ve loved my Ritual prenatals until now, my favorite part being the non-nauseating smell. However in the lastest bottle I received there’s a peculiar aftertaste which I don’t like! Has something changed?

Yes, I'd tell a friend to take these vitamins.
