What is Biotin?

Biotin, also known as Vitamin B7, is a vitamin that’s essential to many critical bodily functions including protein synthesis and macronutrient metabolism. It can be found in a range of foods including beef, eggs, avocado, and yeast.*

You Need Biotin While Pregnant

Biotin is an important nutrient during pregnancy. Biotin helps support energy-yielding metabolism and macronutrient metabolism.*

There is scientific evidence that biotin intake of at least 2−3 times the recommended adequate intake may be needed to meet the requirement for pregnancy. To help meet biotin needs during pregnancy, taking a quality prenatal may be a good idea.*

Ritual’s Form of Biotin

The Biotin inside Essential Prenatal is a synthesized form. Before it is added to our capsules, the Biotin is blended with a bulking agent called microcrystalline cellulose, a type of plant fiber, to help control dosing. It is a wet blend instead of a dry blend, which creates a more uniform and consistent end product.*
