Give Your Morning a Liquid Jump-Start

We wake up dehydrated from (hopefully) seven-to-eight hours of sleep, so I recommend to all my clients that the first thing they put into their body is water. Not only does it boost hydration for the day but it can also increase energy, speed up metabolism, renew cells, and flush out toxins. Most people consume coffee first thing (I'm guilty as well) and water doesn't come into the picture until much later, making it less likely to meet your needs. Once you start, keep the good habit going throughout the day. The latest research suggests that we should be consuming half our body weight in ounces.
