In the rush of life, healthy rituals must be simple, easy and useful – while connecting us to our innermost source of vitality and wellness. This ritual has become one of my favorites. It never fails to boost my energy, clear my head and make me feel unstoppable.
Raise your arms out to your sides at a 45-degree angle. Palms are faced up. Keeping the spine straight and the chin slightly tucked, pump your navel as you inhale and exhale in a steady, rapid rhythm – this is called Breath of Fire. Do this for 1-3 minutes. Want to amp it up even more? Silently repeat the word "victory" with every breath, or add a mantra or song with a steady beat, like this one, to help you breathe in a steady rhythm and get deeper into the groove.
